How far do we ride/walk?
E-Bike Tours:
All three e-bike tours are between 7-9 miles. These are all fun and easy bike tours along winding paved roads through neighborhoods with some traffic. The electric pedal assist and throttles on our Pedego e-bikes allow you to easily ride along Boothbay Harbor’s rolling terrain.
Walking Tours:
All three walking tours are approximately .5 mile. These are fun and easy strolls along winding paved sidewalks and wooden walkways throughout the village center.
What should I wear?
E-Bike Tours:
Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes.
Walking Tours:
Comfortable clothes and walking shoes.
What should I bring?
Sunglasses, sunscreen, phone/camera, rain jacket/light layers (if needed).
What is required to take an e-bike tour?
All renters must wear a helmet at all times while they are riding the bike.
Our suggested minimum height is 5 feet tall and weight limit is 350 lbs.
While no experience riding an electric bike is necessary, guests must have a basic level of fitness and be able to confidently ride a standard bike. If it has been a while since you’ve been on a bike, we highly recommend you practice, even just once, before your tour. Stop by Pedego Electric Bikes at 185 Townsend Avenue for a test ride in our large parking lot.
Your safety is our priority, and if you don’t feel comfortable riding your electric bike at the start of your tour, we’ll offer you a full refund.
What is your tour cancellation policy?
Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a FULL refund. We ask for 24-hour notice so that we may open up the tour to other people who want to ride/walk.
We will cancel tours if there are dangerous weather conditions, but we will ride/walk if there is a chance of inclement weather.
For cancellations due to inclement weather, we will issue a 100% refund or allow you to reschedule for another time that works for you. In the case of bad weather, our guide will contact you at least one hour before the start time to discuss your options.
If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride/walk.
