Joy Ride: Boothbay Harbor Scenic Coastline and Villard Studio E-Bike Tour
The Joy Ride E-bike Tour really lives up to its name! It’s the perfect way to experience the breath-taking beauty of the Boothbay peninsula with all five senses.
The Joy Ride combines the natural beauty of spruce forests meeting the Atlantic Ocean’s rocky coastline with the art inspired by it. Our first stop will be Villard Studios where Kim and Philippe Villard specialize in a rare whiteline woodcut printing method and have produced their natural history woodcut collection that brought the Boothbay Peninsula into the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), NY. We’ll ride through quaint neighborhoods along the Linekin Bay coastline, along an old Wawenock trail skirting a hidden pond, and enjoy stunning views of Boothbay Harbor’s working waterfront.
- Friendly, trained, and knowledgeable guide.
- Experience a sensory Pedego e-bike ride that is pure joy! The electric pedal assist and throttles on our e-bikes allow you to easily ride along Boothbay Harbor’s rolling terrain.
- Visit Villard Studios for a studio tour and artist’s demo of their rare woodcut printing technique.
- Enjoy panoramic views along Maine’s rocky coast, including harbor islands and lighthouses, lobster boats and super yachts with stops for photo opportunities.
- Although not guaranteed, we’ll ride through excellent areas for wildlife opportunities, including deer, foxes, osprey, porcupines, raccoons, wild turkeys, and eagles.
