Tour de l’Art

The Tour de l’Art Electric Bike Tour combines the natural beauty of the Boothbay Peninsula with the art inspired by it. Our first stop will be on Mt. Pisgah overlooking Boothbay Harbor where we’ll visit Villard Studios, the last working studio of the region’s 19th century Commonwealth Art Colony of Boothbay Harbor. Kim and Phillipe Villard specialize in a rare whiteline woodcut method and have produced 100+ images for their natural history woodcut collection that brought the Boothbay Peninsula into the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), NY. After visiting Villard Studios, we’ll bike around the head of Lobster Cove and visit the MacDonald Stained Glass Studio followed by the Joy to the Wind Gallery with paintings by John and Lynne Seitzer.

Experience More

With so many hidden gems in Boothbay Harbor, you’ll find it can be difficult to navigate and see it all. Our e-bike tours give you a lay of the land and our expert guides provide local recommendations about the best our town has to offer. We ride throughout the harbor’s east side through quaint neighborhoods along the Linekin Bay coastline, an old Indian trail skirting a hidden pond, and enjoy stunning views of Boothbay Harbor’s working waterfront. The electric pedal assist and throttles on our e-bikes allow you to easily ride along Boothbay Harbor’s rolling terrain!
